The Fergus Curling Club is the oldest continuous curling club in Ontario. It was organized in 1834 within a year of the first house being built in Fergus. The first game was played on the main street in front of "Black's Tavern" where the CIBC now stands. The official opening of the current Fergus Curling Club facility was in January 1977. The history of the club is on display on the walls and in the display cases throughout the building – a testimony to club members past and present.
