Sunday November 8 the band led the Fergus Legion (Branch 275 of the Royal Canadian Legion) Colour Guard in parade to St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church and participated in the Remembrance Day service there.
Wednesday November 11 Fergus Pipe Band members participated in three Remembrance Day ceremonies in Centre Wellington. In support of the Elora Legion (Branch 229 of the Royal Canadian Legion) the band played at the cenotaph ceremony in Salem and in the parade and ceremony held in Elora. In support of the Fergus Legion (Branch 275 of the Royal Canadian Legion) a lone piper participated in the ceremony at the cenotaph in Fergus.
Pipe Major Jim Stewart said "our band is proud to be of service to the community that supports us. We feel a special connection to the Remembrance Day ceremonies. Two of our founding members served with the Seaforth Highlanders in the First World War. We wear the MacKenzie tartan that was worn by the Seaforth Highlanders. Members of our band have family members and friends who served in the armed forces - some of whom paid the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country."

Fergus Pipe Band Participates in Ceremonies Honouring Canada’s War Veterans and Serving Military Personnel
