Fergus Pipe Band Leads in the Honourable Paul Martin

Under the leadership of Pipe Corporal Chad Green, pipers and drummers of the Fergus Pipe Band were part of the presentation of the ‘National Leadership Award’ to the Honourable Paul Martin at ‘Our Lady of Lourdes High School’ in Guelph. In addition to addressing the students with his thanks and words of encouragement Mr. Martin raised the flag in recognition of ‘Flag Day’ as the school choir and all those present sang the national anthem.

Since 1989, Our Lady of Lourdes High School has, under the direction of Canadian studies teacher Joe Tersigni, invited Canadian notables to speak to the entire student body about the opportunities available to them if they make the effort.

Pipe Corporal Green is a graduate of this high school and has led many local and national dignitaries to the stage over the years.
