Fergus Pipe Band Thanks Band Photographer

Fergus Pipe Band photographer, “Bill Longshaw, has been instrumental in building the increased profile that the band has” said Pipe Major Jim Stewart as he presented Mr. Longshaw with a plaque honouring his commitment and contribution to the band. In addition to the plaque Bill was also presented with a band kilt (Mackenzie tartan).

“In addition to his ever present camera”, PM Stewart told the assembled crowd, “Bill has added a scooter to his equipment list and during parades attaches a sign bearing ‘Fergus Pipe Band’ and our website.”

The presentation was made at the beginning of the second draw of the ‘Sweetheart Bonspiel’ at the Fergus Curling Club. This successful annual event has been organized by Bill and his wife Gloria for 12 years.

The band is pleased to provide pipers and drummers to the Fergus Curling Club when requested.
