The band marched on to the track to begin the day’s races then played again at the end of the afternoon to herald the Battle of Waterloo race. Fergus Pipe Band is proud to have been part of this event for a number of years.
Now in its 20th year, Industry Day began at Elmira Raceway as a celebration of the harness racing industry. Industry Day is one of Canadian harness racing’s most celebrated events, attracting racing fans province-wide and beyond.

Fergus Pipe Band Performs at the Racetrack
Under the direction of Pipe Corporal Bill McMeekin and Drum Sergeant Alex Hobler, nine pipers and a drum corps of seven from the Fergus Pipe Band were part of Grand River Raceway’s Industry Day event and the 13th edition of its signature race, the $300,000 Battle of Waterloo.The band marched on to the track to begin the day’s races then played again at the end of the afternoon to herald the Battle of Waterloo race.
